YES WE ARE BACK

Originally from Coxheath, the first ever event was on 24th June 1967, where the first custard pie was thrown. And the British public then consumed 14,000 tons of custard annually.

Our secret recipe was made by Richard Hearn (Mr. Pastry) from Tovil, using custard would not be suitable as it would (ricochet).

Actually the original pie throwing event came from a Charlie Chaplin comedy, and used in many circus performances with by those lovable clowns.

Over the year’s so many pies have been thrown at the Championship events, Teams competing from all around the world. Many Countries have followed in our footsteps, throughout the years; now once again the contest is back in Maidstone.
